I have been teaching seventh grade at Mountain Gap Middle School since August 1998. Before working at Mountain Gap, I taught eighth grade at Ed White Middle school for five years. Our family moved to Huntsville in December 1992 from the St. Louis area where I had been a teacher since in 1976.
My family includes my husband Allen who works for United Launch Alliance and my two daughters, Meghan and Shannon. Meghan and our son-in-law Justin live in Daphne, Alabama, and they have two little boys, five-year-old Bridger and three-year-old Taplin. Meghan teaches fourth grade in Mobile at George Hall Elementary. Shannon and our son-in law Nathan live here in Huntsville. Shannon is a graphic designer and is the art director for Sew Beatiful Magazine and the editor of Stitch Craft Create, a new magazine. We are so thrilled that they have a baby daughter, Georgia Mae. The silliest member of the family is Ozzie, the pug. He is a character and keeps everyone laughing and covered in dog hair..
Besides my work at Mountain Gap and spending time with my family, I enjoy reading, blogging and exploring on the Internet, shopping, playing Bunko with my teacher friends, and sewing. I am addicted to quilting and always have several projects under way.
